The SPE: A-NZ Section is proud to announce that Andrew Smith, Executive General Manager, Astron Sustainability, Pact Group, will present at Thursday (19th November) session from 11.30 am to 12.00 pm at the SPE A-NZ Annual Conference.
Andrew Smith is Executive General Manager - Sustainability for packaging, materials handling and recycling company Pact Group. He has more than 25 years experience in the packaging, recycling and sustainability industries. Prior to Pact Group, he held senior positions at Visy and was instrumental in the development and expansion of recycling systems across Australia. With extensive experience in building businesses and working with a wide range of stakeholders, Andrew Smith has a proven record of being able to deliver environmentally and commercially sustainable solutions in often complex markets.
At Pact, he has led sustainability services for 15 years and with his team has grown the multifaceted business into the largest recycler and user of post-industrial resins in Australia and New Zealand. The business is now embarking on the building of significant additional plastics recycling capacity in Australia and New Zealand. With broad and deep industry knowledge, Andrew Smith represents Pact in a number of national forums and views partnerships and collaboration as central to successful end-to-end circular solutions for Pact and the wider industry. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science, Graduate Diploma in Education and is an experienced coach in Australian Rules Football.
