About the event
Over the last 10 to 20 years, our plastics industry has seen a move by companies to look outside our borders for finding more cost-effective solutions for their plastic tools and/or products by sourcing from envisaged cheaper overseas sources to benefit from assumed cost benefits. For the past 3 to 4 years, other elements in the supply chain have made it more difficult to justify the overseas supply alternatives. In particular, tensions between Australia and China have not contributed to maintaining existing supply chains from this country viable with respect to quality and delivery times. The result has been that local suppliers have often become more competitive and reliable.
This webinar will review a few supply chains and demonstrate that local supply could have become again a very attractive alternative. These changes will be demonstrated with life examples. Background information supplied by Qube Logistics will explain what has changed in transportation.
